Relationships and the Holidays

This is a emotionally mixed time of year. Holidays can bring the best or the worst out of people. Many of us have good memories and bad memories from holidays during childhood. The main thing is to take care of yourself during this holiday season. Have a support network in place. Do NOT spend the holidays alone. For those of you who have families with poor boundaries, prepare yourself with setting boundaries before a family event. Then stick to the boundary. Remember, a boundary with no consequences is not a boundary. It is life service. One must take action on a stated consequence if your boundary is violated. And be with friends if you have no family or if it’s just too painful to be with them. It’s important to share our gratitude with those we Love. For those of you spending time with your family, Love them, forgive them, have compassion for them. Then enjoy each other and celebrate life and all we have to be grateful for. For none of us would have life if it was not for our parents regardless of how we were treated and how we feel about them. Enjoy your Thanksgiving everyone! Eat, share your Love and be merry!

Love, Gratitude, and joy,

Rusty
