Sex is very different from sexual energy. Sex is an act of having sex in all of it’s numerous creative combinations. Sex may involve affinity and love or it may not. Sexual energy on the other hand, is lifeforce energy that originates at out perineum and runs up the back of our spine influencing different areas of our lives. The Yogis call this Kundalini energy. Many of us think that when we feel the sexual energy it is time to have sex. That is not necessarily the case. I also recommend that your partner and you have similar sexual appetites, another topic for another day. You can channel that sexual energy into work, play, fitness, creativity, etc. They key point here when it comes to relationships is not to act on sexual energy all the time with your partner(s). This puts a lot of pressure on the other person to be available when your sexual energy arises. And the purpose of that sexual energy may have been to channel it into something else. Sexual energy is all about creation, and I’m not just talking about procreation. Getting clarity on your use of your sexual energy is very important in the creation of an extraordinary life. So experiment a bit around sexual energy. See what happens when you say no to sex or masturbation and direct it into something else. You might be pleasantly surprised!
